Globalization takes place primarily through firms, and a myriad of factors affect their internationalization choices. Among those factors, trade shocks play a key role. This workshop featured theoretical and empirical contributions that help us understand how firms react to these shocks and the general equilibrium and welfare effects of these adjustments.
