The Richard Musgrave Visiting Professorship 2024 was awarded to Henrik Kleven by CESifo and the International Institute of Public Finance (IIPF). Henrik Kleven is the Lynn Bendheim Thoman, Class of 1977, and Robert Bendheim, Class of 1937, Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton University. About the Richard Musgrave Visiting Professorship

CESifo and the International Institute of Public Finance (IIPF) cooperate in the awarding and organization of the Richard Musgrave Visiting Professorship and the annual Richard Musgrave Lecture.

In 2008, CESifo and IIPF established the Richard Musgrave Visiting Professorship to honor the memory of one of the greatest scholars of public finance. Richard Musgrave began his studies at LMU Munich and was a founding member of CESifo. The winner of this award is also named a Distinguished CESifo Fellow.

The President of CESifo, and the President and Vice Presidents of IIPF choose the award winner in a formal selection process.
