The 2020 CESifo Area Conference on Economics of Digitization brought together 32 researchers who are working in the digitization to present and discuss their ongoing research. The keynote lecture was delivered by Anja Sautmann (World Bank).

This years' Distinguished CESifo Affiliate Award was presented to Simon Martin for his paper "Market Transparency and Consumer Search - Evidence from the German Retail Gasoline Market".
