CESifo Forum 3/2016 (Autumn): Migration: Challenge or Opportunity?

CESifo Forum 3/2016 reports on the 15th Munich Economic Summit that took place from 30 June to 1 July 2016 in Munich. The welcoming and introductory speeches by Christian Vorländer, Councillor of the City of Munich, Michael Schaefer, Chairman of the BMW Stiftung Herbert Quandt, and Clemens Fuest were followed three panels. This year’s Summit dealt with the ramifications of the largest migration wave in the post-war period, which is putting a serious strain on the European community.
