The CESifo Economic Studies journal bridges the gap between specialized research in economics and the interest of non-specialists. It combines theory and empirical research with a strong emphasis on policy issues and publishes contributions from top-level academic economists. Papers are written in a style accessible to all economists, regardless of specialization.

EconPol Forum (formerly CESifo Forum) is a bi-monthly English-language journal to bring economic analysis on topics of worldwide interest along with policy advice to a broad range of policymakers and the public.

This series covers topical policy issues in economics from a largely European perspective. The books in this series are the product of papers presented at conferences hosted by CESifo. Topics range from public finance to international economics and industrial organization.

This publication presents the findings of "tandem projects", in which an ifo Institute or CES (Center for Economic Studies) researcher works with one or more internationally renowned external researchers. The goal is to present an overview of current issues in various economic areas and thus contribute to the economic policy debate.
