CES Munich Lectures in Economics 2023
Große Aula, LMU Munich
Child Mental Health as Human Capital
Child mental health is a critical form of human capital, but we have just begun to understand how truly valuable it is for educational attainment and other adult outcomes, and how its development could be better supported.
Prof Janet Currie (Henry Putnam Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton University), this year's Distinguished CES Fellow laureate, will explain what lies behind this insight.
The Distinguished CES Fellow award ranks amongst the most prestigious awards in economics. It is a hidden gem in the field: a significant proportion of the awardees - 7 out of 30 - have gone on to win the Nobel Prize in their discipline just a few years later.
