The 2019 CESifo Area Conference on Macro, Money, and International Finance brought together 43 researchers who are working in the areas of macroeconomics and money to present and discuss their ongoing research. The keynote lecture was delivered by Christopher A. Sims (Princeton).

This years' Distinguished CESifo Affiliate Award was presented to Paymon Khorrami for his paper "The Risk of Risk Sharing" and Jonathan Payne for his paper "Disruption of Long-Term Bank Credit".
